Researchers have developed a tiny, electronic device in the form of a pill that can be swallowed and used to transmit data from inside your digestive tract.
Writing in the journal Science, the researchers say the ingestible micro-bio-electronic device, or IMBED, can provide rapid, precise disease detection and send data wirelessly to an external device.
For “proof of concept” trials, the scientists tested the device on pigs, which accurately diagnosed gastrointestinal bleeding,
