The Republican hoping to represent North Dakota in Congress says he’s pressing the Trump Administration to settle its trade disputes with major trading partners.
Kelly Armstrong says he understands that the president is trying to renegotiate deals that have been unfair to the US, but he says North Dakota farmers are paying a large price for that effort.
(Kelly Armstrong, (R) Candidate for US House) “What we have to do is make these arguments, work with the administration, work with other members of Congress and make them understand that while we’re feeling it right now in North Dakota, when the ag economy starts to suffer, everybody else will shortly after. The economy’s clicking on all cylinders right now so we need to get these deals taken care of so we can continue to grow the economy, not just in North Dakota but all across the country.”
Armstrong is facing Democrat Mac Schneider in the race for Congress.
