As North Dakota candidates wrapped up their campaigns and settled in to await the outcomes, many went to their Facebook pages to post notes of thanks.

“To all of you who gave of your time & resources to keep the grassroots campaign going – thank you! I am blessed to live in this great state!” posted Public Service Commission candidate Randy Christmann.

“It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your Attorney General, and once again I am asking for your vote today,” wrote Attorney General candidate Wayne Stenehjem on his Facebook account.”

“I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the kindness, encouragement, and relentless support you all have shown me over the past 9 months,” noted State Treasurer candidate Kylie Oversen.

U.S. Senate candidates Kevin Cramer and Heidi Heitkamp both used their Facebook pages to urge people to get out and vote — a critical message in a race that many had predicted would be a close one.
