Authorities say woman poured battery acid in husband’s beer


FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo woman is accused of trying to kill her husband by pouring battery acid in his beer.
   KFGO radio reports ( ) that Nyabenda Spes has been charged with one count of reckless endangerment.
   Spes allegedly told authorities she was unhappy in her relationship and also wanted to kill herself by drinking from the same bottle. She told them she felt it was her only option.
   Nicholas Thornton, the defendant’s court-appointed attorney, could not be reached for comment on Saturday.
