There’s quite a bit going on this year for Minot State’s 89th homecoming.
The soccer team takes on Minnesota Crookston at 7 PM Friday night.
The parade begins at 11 Saturday morning – that will include many groups from MSU, Minot High, Minot middle schools and local organizations as well.
That will lead attendees right to the tailgating event that will then carry into the football game at two o’ clock – MSU plays Winona State.
Director of Marketing here at the university says homecoming is always a fun event that demonstrates school spirit from both the community and the college.
“The celebration brings together the students from the campus, faculty, staff, our alumni, our friends, the larger community together just to celebrate that this is our 89th homecoming at Minot State University so we’ve had a lot of practice and we enjoy it,” Teresa Loftesnes said.
There will also be an alumni and friends event from 7 to 11 at the Holiday Inn where the broadcasting, deaf education departments as well as soccer and wrestling alumni will gather.
