Bill Changes DUI Laws for Bicycle & Horse Riders

A bill to change state DUI laws when it comes to riding a bicycle or horse received near unanimous approval today.

Members of the House voted 91-1 to exempt riders of these non-motorized vehicles from state DUI laws.

If someone is found to be riding a bike or horse while drunk, they will only be charged with a noncriminal traffic offense.

The bill now goes to the Senate for consideration.
