Fandoms and cosplay are two words you may not be familiar with, but it’s everything to those attending comic con today.
This is the second year for Bismarck’s Comic Con presented by Dakota’s CW 2. Here at the veteran’s memorial library, many showed up in adorning costumes – or what they call cosplay. And there was no age limit to those attending. Different booths lined the hall selling things from comics to one-of-a-kind art.
“It’s a place where people who have similar interests can meet people with similar interests. I heard a younger girl today say, ‘these are my people!’ And it’s true. It’s a way to meet people who also love Harry Potter or who also love Star Wars and get to see them and kind of geek out with others,” said teen programming coordinator Laura Rysavy.
Laura told us the most popular cosplays of the day were harry potter and rey from star wars.
