The City of Bismarck is easing their water restrictions.
The City says they are still encouraging Bismarck residents and businesses to continue voluntary reduction of water usage though.
All areas of Bismarck and Lincoln, including the northwest area, will be allowed to outdoor water three days a week on the following schedule.
Even-numbered homes are encouraged to water Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Odd-numbered homes are encouraged to water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Michelle Klose the Utility Operations Director says the voluntary restrictions will remain in place until a break in the hot, dry weather.
Klose says the water restrictions has been making a difference and water levels are increasing. She also asks people to maintain reasonable, responsible water use as we head into the weekend with high weather temperatures expected.
“We are showing gains in the water levels in our underground and elevated storage reservoirs and are working to further optimize our operations to push more water into the system. We’re also working with the South Central Regional Water District to meet their customer needs and limit non-essential water use,” said Klose.
