North Dakota’s Medical Marijuana division has chosen two businesses to move forward in the application process to manufacture the drug.

Pure Dakota LLC will be located in Bismarck and Grassroots Cannabis will be located in Fargo.

Pure Dakota LLC is registered under a David A. Meyer of Flasher, N.D. He registered the business on April 10, 2018.

Grassroots Cannabis has no name associated with it, but states their principal office is located in Highland Park, Illinois. Their business was registered in North Dakota on April 16, 2018 at 314 E. Thayer Ave., in Bismarck.

According to the Director of the Division of Medical Marijuana, Jason Wahl, “The manufacturing facilities will be responsible for growing marijuana, drying the leaves and flowers, and converting marijuana into a medical marijuana product.”

Both of these businesses will have additional requirements to meet before they are granted a registration certificate from the North Dakota Department of Health.

The next process in rolling medical marijuana out in the state of North Dakota will be opening the application process for dispensaries, which is not currently open.
