The trend of falling passenger numbers continued at most commercial airports in North Dakota last month.

New figures from the state Aeronautics Commission show fewer passengers boarded planes in February of 2017 in Minot, Williston, Dickinson, and Grand Forks. That’s compared to February of the prior year.

Bismarck and Fargo mostly held steady – both seeing increases of less than one percent.

In total, close to 83,000 people boarded commercial planes last month – about 4,000 fewer than a year ago.

Below are the February 2017 boarding numbers from the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.

  • Fargo: 34,647 – up 0.43%
  • Bismarck: 20,414 – up 0.52%
  • Minot: 10,892 – dn 15.71%
  • Grand Forks: 10,521 – dn 15.11%
  • Williston: 5,055 – dn 10.20%
  • Dickinson: 1,288 – dn 4.24%
