One Bismarck High student is taking her service learning project to the next level.
Ashten Anhorn was told to come up with a way to give back to the community. She decided to collect feminine hygiene products to give out to women in local homeless shelters.
Ashten has been working with the Abused Adult Resource Center throughout her high school career,
where she discovered how big of need the most basic necessities can be for the less fortunate.
The High School Senior says, “Well, I feel like feminine products are a need and a necessity that every woman deserves. And I feel like, if we don’t start now, there will be no change.”
Ashten will be delivering her collected items in January, and will be taking donations until January 1st.
