A man accused of child abuse is now being held on $50,000 dollar cash bond for raping the same victim.

32-year-old Andrew Glasser of Bismarck was charged with child abuse and tampering with evidence on October 19th.

His victim, a female infant, was found with rib injuries and trauma to the left tibia and fibula that were in the process of healing.

Glasser said those injuries occurred when he pushed the victim’s legs toward her stomach in order to relieve gas.

A doctor’s examination concluded that “way too much force” would have to of been used in order to cause that type of injury.

Upon further examination of the infant — the doctor found the victim had suffered a vaginal tear consistent with “penetrating trauma”

During an interview with authorities the mother of the child admitted that Glasser had told her the victim was bleeding from her vagina and she may need stitches.

The mother directed Glasser to take the victim to the hospital — he did not. The mother confirmed to police that during the time of the injuries, no other individuals had access to the child.

Glasser has been charged with gross sexual imposition of a victim under 15 years of age.

He was also charged with tampering with evidence after authorities found he manually reset his phone in order to wipe his phone.
