Bismarck Man Pleads Guilty for Failing to Register as a Child Offender

Jose Rivera-Rieffel was in court a couple weeks ago for the murder of his infant child.

Today he made another court appearance. This time to plead guilty for failing to register as an offender against children.

The maximum sentence possible in this case is up to five years in prison.

Judge Haskell gave Rivera-Rieffel a straight year-long sentence at the Burleigh County Detention Center. Any fines and probation were waived.
