Bismarck man spits on, kicks officers during altercation

One man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after an altercation with Bismarck Police.

At 4:33 p.m., officers responded to a call at 2520 E Broadway Avenue for a male coming at people with a knife.The caller states he was suicidal and threatening to kill people. 

When officers arrived, they observed another male lying on top of the 22-year-old suspect on a couch inside the residence. It appeared he was trying to restrain the suspect.

As Bismarck Police were attempting to restrain the suspect and put handcuffs on him, the suspect started threatening the officers. He then spit into the face of multiple officers, kicked one in the groin and another in the chest. 

The suspect was eventually taken into custody. He is charged with two counts of contact by bodily fluids, terrorizing, simple assault on a peace officer, attempt to commit simple assault on a peace officer and preventing felony arrest. All Class C Felonies.
