Bismarck Marijuana Dispensary Expected to Open in June

We take a look at when medical marijuana dispensaries are expected to open. While the number of medical marijuana card applicants is much lower than the state anticipated, that number is expected to rise once the product is available.

KX News spoke with Ben Kimbro, with Harvest Health and Recreation Incorporated, one of the companies opening dispensaries in the state. The company has received licensing for dispensaries in Bismarck, Williston, and is waiting on approval for the possibility of a Grand Forks location. Kimbro tells us Harvest inc has a rough estimate on when the business will be ready for patients.

Ben Kimbro: “We’re optimistic that we’ll have that store open probably mid or late June… Our patient numbers tend to grow anywhere that we operate once people get the opportunity to come in and meet us and see what’s available to them.”

The Bismarck dispensary will be named “Harvest of Bismarck” and will be located on 1207 North Memorial Highway.

Right now there are only 110 patients and another 100 applicants for the whole state. Because of that, the state has drastically lowered its patient projections.
