Local organization feeds pets in the community

A local non-profit charity is on a mission to make sure no pet goes hungry.

Atti's Eats Pet Food and Supplies Pantry in Mandan offers free pet food to people who are suffering hardships such as sicknesses, divorce, and unemployment.
Food is available to anyone with pets.
You can get the food at Community Action in Bismarck.
We're told the food donations come from food drives, community fundraisers, and drop off points.
Co-founder, Alison Smith, says it's overall purpose is to save one pet at a time.

"Somebody may say that I have to surrender my animal because I can't feed it. I lost my job and I cant feed my dog and I am going to have to give it to a shelter. There is no reason for this animal to be in a shelter. So, if they can receive some help temporary that benefits them," Smith said.

The founders are looking for donors to supply a van in order to reach more people in different neighborhoods.

The drop off points are TSC, Kramer Agency, Superior Silkscreen.
