A major upgrade is on it’s way to the Missouri Valley YMCA in Bismarck. They announced a major change to the indoor pool.

Starting next year, people of all ages will get to enjoy the new family splash center. The $1.6 million dollar project will include a zero entry pool, meaning there’s a gradual depth for everyone to get in and out easily.  Kids will also get to enjoy the watersides and other features all year long. Construction is planned to start in August and completed by March of 2019.

“A pool facility like this will really mean so much to us. You can be a little more flexible with ability levels and with interest levels and things like that. So, we’re so excited to have the opportunity here in Bismarck,” said parent Amanda Godfreid.

Funding for the new family splash center comes from the Otto Bremer Trust Grant, First International Bank and Trust as well as a fundraising goal of $700,000.
