The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office says human remains that were discovered in the northwest part of the county on Monday, September 3.
The remains belong to a Montana woman who went missing 11 months ago. The woman has been identified as 55-year-old Darlene Billie, who went missing in October of 2017. She was originally from Mississippi but was living in St. Ignatius, Montana. Billie was from the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana.
Billie’s daughter told us that Billie had left to visit family on the Montana-North Dakota border in September, 2017. The Dunn County Sheriffs office reports the next of kin has been notified and the case remains under investigation.
The FBI was investigating the discovery of the remains.
