Bomb Squad shuts down Highway 58 to investigate suspicious device

McKenzie County, ND – Highway 58 is shut down while the Minot Bomb Squad examines a suspicious device.

Around 4:30 p.m., a McKenzie County Sheriffs deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of MM 1 Hwy 58 in Fairview North Dakota. Authorities say the driver was arrested for numerous violations.

A suspicious device was foundin the vehicle and MCSO called the Minot Bomb Squad.

Hwy 58 is expected to remain closed for several hours. A detour has been set up for drivers.
