For nearly 2 years, a Bismarck juvenile has been subjected to extensive harassment. Today, the man accused of doing it is behind bars.

50-year-old Curtis McGarvey has been charged with terrorizing, child neglect, and 20 counts of promoting sexual preformance by a minor. According to the affidavit, it all began in June of 2016.

Since then, he has used social media, email, and other online accounts to contact the victim. The 20 sexual preformance charges stem from a sexually explicit gif sent to 20 different phone numbers. One of those belonging to another minor, which is why he also faces a child neglect charge.

McGarvey appeared in court this afternoon. The judge set a $250,000 cash bond, a no contact order, and he’s prohibited from leaving the state as well as accessing the internet and social media.
