In honor of the anniversary of September 11th many people gathered for the Annual Brats with the Brave Event to thank North Dakota service members.

Active Duty, reserved, and veteran military personnel all attended the event, where they were able to get a Cloverdale bratwurst with all the fixin’s you could ask for. Governor Doug Burgum was also in attendance to show his appreciation for all the people that have served our country and to honor all the lives lost from 9-11.

President of Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce, Brain Ritter says, “I think today has extra significance because of September 11th. And really this is an opportunity for us to constantly remind ourselves of the sacrifice these men and women do for our country that they make for our country and this is just one small token of our appreciation.”

The event is put on by the Military Affairs Committee and North Dakota National Guard as a way
to say thank you to all the men and women who have served in the armed forces. The event also could not have been possible without the presenting sponsor, CrossCountry Freight Solutions.
