Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department warns of scam

The Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department is warning of a scam.
The department received two reports of two young men in their late teens or early 20’s asking for donations for a Summer Fun Run through the Salvation Army.
The Sheriff’s department says there is no such event, and if people are approached they should not give money.
One suspect is described as caucasian the other as black.
The pair was said to be driving a white 2011 Chevy Impala with North Dakota license plate number 929 BWH.
The Burleigh County Sheriff’s department urges people to verify a cause or organization is legitimate before donating.
