Bus Route to Continue to Serve the University of Mary


The Bismarck City Commission and the Bis-Man Transit Board unanimously voted to reestablish the CAT bus and paratransit services to University of Mary. 

In May of this year the city of Bismarck considered discontinuing the service because it was costing too much money. 

Bisman Transit says it costs $40,000 dollars to run out to the university for the year, however what was generated through fees only amounted to a little over $2,500 dollars. 

The University of Mary says they will offer students incentives to use the bus in order to increase ridership. 

The service first began in April of 2017. 

The CAT’s Green Route, begins near the Kirkwood Mall and makes its way east on Expressway Avenue towards Cashwise Foods and the Super Walmart. The route then heads south on University Drive towards the airport, UTTC and then to its last stop at the
