Max Beauty Hair Supply and More is a beauty store that offers cosmetics, hair products, and best selling wigs for all races.
Owner Maxine Gordon recently moved her store to the Kirkwood mall from 4th and Main Avenue to attract more customers.
Not only does she sell hair, but she also installs them too, doing sew-ins as well as what is known as box braids.
Gordon told me there is a demand for beauty stores in Bismarck, saying it gives cancer patients opportunities who have lost hair due to treatment.
“It’s needed because there is a lot of African Americans here and so a lot of Caucasian come in and buy wigs and a variety of things from me. Cancer surviving people always come to buy wigs,” said Gordon.
