Business Beat: Local Bakery Gets its Own Pop Up Cafe

One Minot bakery is getting its own pop up cafe after five years of business.

Prairie Sky Breads is setting up shop in the Minot area Council of the Arts building.

Using locally sourced grains means baking unique breads you can’t find in the grocery store.

Breads, cookies and scones are some items you can find in the pop up cafe.

The cafe offers a subscription service, but the owner is excited to see and meet his customers.

“This is really special for us because people come through the door and we get to have a conversation with them and for us, community and relationships are really important,” says Travis Gerjets, owner Prairie Sky Breads.

The cafe’s grand opening is the nineteenth and will be open every Friday morning, from seven to eleven.
