Candidate Forum Held For City and County Commission


More candidates made their views known at the second in a series of forums held in Williston.

Candidates for the county and city commission races answered questions pre-selected by moderators.Four candidates are running for two spots on the county commission general election ballot.The candidates are Beau Anderson, Melissa Krause, Brom Lutz and Deanna Senior.

Five candidates are running for two spots on the city commission. The candidates are Chris Brostuen, Tate Cymbaluk, William Holler, Griffin Nelson and Darren Schmidt.

Some in attendance said they were looking forward to seeing new faces in the election race. They also shared what issues were most important to them. 

“That they follow the Constitution of the United States and do what’s right. Instead of picking people saying winners and losers,” says Hal Hickel, a farmer from Ray. 

The election will be held June 12th. There will also be a candidate forum for school board seats on Thursday evening at the Williston Area Recreation Center.
