With elections just three weeks away candidates in the running for Minot mayor met with the community in a public forum.
Candidates talked about tax issues relating to the city budget and city employee retention rates.
When asked about their plan to fix the local drug crisis –this is what they said.
“I really think that we need a transitional house to let these poor souls go some place to live,” said Nancy Bommelman “
“Between governor Burgum’s initiative and I think even on the national lever this has to be a collaborative state issue because we can’t fight this by ourselves,” said Shaun Sipma.
“Why isn’t there a collaborative effort for all us to work together, Trinity, the city, Minot State and make that happen,” said TIm Mahalick.
