Car fails to stop and strikes 6-year-old boy in Bismarck

A child ran into a vehicle that didn’t to stop for a school bus stop sign. 
The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Tuesday. 
The driver is a 49-year-old Bismarck man. 
According to Bismarck police a school bus was stopped on Rosser Avenue, near 20th Street in Bismarck.
A group of kids started running toward the bus while a car was attempting to pass the school bus. 
Most of the kids stopped, but a 6-year-old boy didn’t see the car and kept running. 
Witnesses say the boy was knocked down after running into the passenger side of the car, but got up right away. 
The child was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
