Although it’s a night to remember, it’s not always something everyone can afford.
Prom season is kicking off this weekend in Bismarck/Mandan.
KX News spoke with the founder of Carrie’s Kids about the cost of Prom and how they help young women who can’t afford it.
They have dresses in every style and color, donated mostly by Koo Koo‘s Nest, a local boutique in Bismarck.
When girls come in, it’s hard to know what size they are so they have a few options to try on.
And no outfit is complete without accessories — They also have jewelry, makeup, and shoes.
They have an entire room dedicated to prom preparations.
“We’re kind of like a VIP clubhouse and right now we’re getting ready for prom,“ said Carrie Grosz/Founder of Carrie’s Kids. “And we believe every girl has the right to go to prom, no matter her economic level“.
If you are looking to get ready for prom on a budget, make sure to set up an appointment by calling or texting 701-390-3201.
If you want to donate your old dresses, drop them off at Koo Koo‘s Nest in downtown Bismarck located at 114 N 5th St.
