The Philadelphia Eagles finally got the news they’ve been waiting for.
Bismarck native quarterback Carson Wentz has been cleared for contact by team doctors – making him available to play in Week 3 versus the Indianapolis Colts.
It will be Wentz’s first NFL start since tearing his ACL in December of 2017.
Eagles coach Doug Pederson made the announcement this morning.
“I was impressed with how well he attacked his rehab throughout the offseason,” Pederson said in a press conference. “He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do and he’s ready to go.”
The Eagles are 1-1 on the season without Wentz under center.
