The Central Dakota Humane Society got some tails wagging today.
The shelter held their annual Shaggy Shuffle, a walk to help care for shelter animals in the region.
One hundred twenty-five walkers and their pups gathered at the state’s capitol to break a sweat for a good cause.
Animal lovers raised money to care for the animals staying at the humane society until they can be placed in their forever homes.
“The money will go towards the care of the dogs and cats that live in the shelter out at the Central Dakota Humane Society that covers their medical care cost of food just any incidental expenses that we have to take care of those guys,” Mandy Schaaf, Central Dakota Humane Society says.
This marks more than 25 years for the event which raised $15,000 dollars this year alone.
