A Minot man is facing charges related to a car crash that resulted in a power outage in north Minot last night.

Minot Police say 20-year-old Marquell Salters was driving a stolen vehicle and fleeing from officers when he flipped the car and crashed into an electrical fixture.

The crash knocked out power to more than two thousand customers of XCel Energy for an hour or more.

Salters had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to Trinity Hospital for treatment of what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.

He was arrested on charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Fleeing.
