CHI St. Alexius in Dickinson said visitor restrictions have been lifted at the hospital.
The hospital put the restrictions in place back in January due to the severity of the flu virus.
Fifteen patients had to be hospitalized, and children were prohibited from visiting the hospital.
Only immediate family was allowed to visit and were required to wear masks.
Over the past few weeks, the hospital has seen a considerable decrease in flu cases, which led to the restrictions being lifted.
“There is definitely a season when we see increased cases. It usually starts in October . . it peaks in January and February . . .it decreases in March . . . and flu season ends in April,” said Holly Hirning, RN at Chi St Alexius .
CHI St. Alexius is asking patients to still wear a mask or avoid visiting if they might be sick.
