It’s safe to say that the next several months will be pretty cold.
Fortunately, there’s a way for the whole family to have fun and stay warm – and it’s just about to open in Minot.
(Tim Olson, KX News) Having fun, learning new things, and staying warm – does it get much better than that?
The Magic City Discovery Center opens up tomorrow morning for kids and families to do just that.
This year, Minot’s children’s museum has a carnival theme.
(Jessica Ahmann, Magic City Discovery Center) 267 “It’s talking about the physics behind our amusement park rides that we all love.”
(Olson) You’ll also see annual favorites, like this: it’s called “The Whoosh”. My nieces and nephews love that one, by the way.
The Magic City Discovery Center is entering its third year – and it’s a growing attraction in Minot.
(Ahmann) 264 “Last year we almost doubled our attendance from the first year.”
(Olson) Jessica Ahmann says she loves seeing kids learn about science while having a good time.
(Ahmann) 266 “It’s great to see these kids learn at such a young age. When we had consultants come, they said we need to start young. They said we need to start teaching these kids at a young age the math and science, and get them excited about learning at a young age.”
(Olson) The Museum opens for the winter tomorrow at 10am. And you can schedule parties and field trips there, too.
Ahmann says the planning committee is working on finding a permanent, year-round home for the children’s museum soon.
