According to a dentist, it is recommended that people visit the dentists office every six months.
But starting those visits at a young age could make it easier later in life.
February is National Children’s Oral Health Month.
Dr. Zmoos says that getting your kids in as early as one years old is the best option.
Problems such as tooth decay can start in kids as soon as that first tooth erupts.
Zmoos adds that teaching parents and the patients how to properly take care of their teeth is equally important.
“That’s a big part of pediatric dentistry is leading children and guiding their tooth development eruption making sure everything is looking as they turn in to adults,” said Taylor Zmoos, Pediatric Dentist.
Zmoos also encourages kids to brush twice a day so that their dental visits go even smoother.
