Wreaths Across America is an annual program that honors fallen veterans during the holidays.
The event doesn’t take place until December ,but one local community has already started preparations for it.

They’re calling it Christmas in July, Wreaths Across America officials were out trying to gather applications for fallen veterans to become sponsored with a wreath.

Last year the Minot community was able to get 936 wreaths sponsored.

“Our goal this year is going to be a little over a thousand because we’re adding now section 16 to our event –there’s five hundred and forty nine military personnel that are buried in section 16,” said coordinator Richard Reuer.
If you missed the event today — you can pick up an application at the Rosehill Cemetery office any day of week until November.
