Staff at Minot Public Works are on the streets making your drive less bumper

As snow melts water makes it’s way under pavement, causing potholes.
These can be especially dangerous for drivers on the road.
The average annual cost for vehicle repairs due to rough pavement varies from $300 to $400 dollars.
Street crews say they fix about 40 a day this time of year.

“I just caution people to drive carefully this time of year cause they’re out there and can damage your vehicle. We’re trying to get them fixed and repaired as quick as we can and we still have warm temps and cold temps they are going to develop,” said Jason Sorenson assistant director of public works.
