City Wants Public Input On Downtown Gathering Place

People are having their opinions heard about what they want to see built in their city.

In Minot, there is six million federal dollars set aside that will be spent on a new gathering place in downtown.

This area has the ability to take up two acres of land in the heart of downtown.

But before plans start being made – the city wants to hear from its residents about their ideas of design and activities they would like to see

“Create a venue that can draw a lot more people to the downtown, encourage investment, and also give the residents of Minot a place where they come and really celebrate the city and enjoy themselves,” said John Zakian Disaster Resilience Grant Program Manager.

The public meeting is tonight at 6:30 at the Oak Park Amphitheater.
