North Dakota ranks in the bottom half of states when it comes to burglary rates.
Financial website 24/7 analyzed FBI crime data and ranked the state 28th out of 50, with 389 burglaries per 100,000 people.
To put that in perspective, the state with the highest burglary rate is New Mexico, with 858 burglaries per 100,000 people.
The state with the lowest burglary rate, interestingly, is New York, with 176 burglaries per 100,000 people.
According to the data, then, North Dakota has twice the burglary rate of New York.
