A small number of people were briefly evacuated from Legacy High School in Bismarck due to a bomb threat received before the start of the school day.

According to Bismarck Public Schools spokeswoman Renae Walker, Bismarck Police received a call threatening Legacy High School Thursday morning.

Walker referred to the threat as a “copycat.”

The school, which was mostly empty at the time, was evacuated for a short time while police swept the facility and deemed it safe.

Class is going on as scheduled. We expect to learn more about the incident from Bismarck Police later this morning.
