Ward County commissioners bristled at the idea the county should pay for a couple of major fixes to the jail addition now under construction.
Representatives from JLG Architects and A-and-P Construction told commissioners about several changes to the plans that require more funds.
But two of them in particular brought push-back from commissioners.
The two cost a total of 77-thousand dollars and involve what commissioners believe were errors made by the contractors and are not the responsibility of the county.
Commissioners voted to authorize the changes to the plans, but said they will push the contractors to absorb the costs under contingency funds built in to the project.
