North Dakota Congressman Kevin Cramer is one of 18 lawmakers who are nominating President Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.

In a jointly signed letter sent to the chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the congressional representatives said they back Trump for the prize, “in recognition of his work to end the Korean War, denuclearize the Korean peninsula and bring peace to the region.”

The letter notes, “Since taking office, President Trump has worked tirelessly to apply maximum pressure on North Korea to end its illicit weapons program and bring peace to the region. … We can think of no one more deserving ofr the Committee’s recognition in 2019 than President Trump.”
