Crime alert in Dickinson

There has been a rash of vehicle thefts in Dickinson lately in the Northwest section of town.

Three cars have been stolen in the past week and the Dickinson Police Department said two of them have been recovered.

The department said two of the thefts were in residential areas, and the other was at a dealership.

No one was hurt in any of the incidents, but authorities are urging the public to lock car and garage doors.

A dirt bike was also stolen at one of the residential thefts, but it has now been recovered.

The police department is also asking people to contact them regarding any suspicious behavior.

Authorities are currently investigating and following up on tips from the public and are putting on extra patrols in the neighborhoods were thefts took place.
