Curling Team Travels To Nationals

The Minot Curling Club trained a national champion.

Mac Guy is originally from the Minot Area and joined the club as a 12 year old after he learned about it in gym class.

Since then, he’s joined Team Washington.

Last year the team won Nationals and went on to travel to Russia where they competed at worlds.

Now they are back in Minot preparing for their second Nationals title.

For Mac Guy, being in Minot brings back many memories and reminds him of where it all began.

(Mac Guy, Curling Player) “Everything that I’ve learned here you know I’ve taken to you know higher competitive levels you know, I wouldn’t be the curler I am today without all the help from you know from growing from people in Minot.”

Team Washington will travel to Williston for Nationals next week.
