One in 10 children in the Capital City area live in poverty

Here on Good Day Dakota we’re taking an opportunity to help women and children in our community

We’re joining forces with the Little Black Dress campaign put on by the United Way’s Women United.

Women are joining forces, and creating teams to help fundraiser this week by wearing the same little black dress.

The Little Black Dress is meant to illustrate the effects poverty can have on one’s access to resources, confidence and ability to obtain employment.

The community is invited to attend a community, caring and cocktails event Thursday the 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the North Dakota Heritage Center.

You can purchase tickets through the MSA United Way http://www.msaunitedway.org/littleblackdress

If you’re as passionate about this campaign as we are, you can get involved. https://www.msaunitedway.org/civicrm/pcp/info?reset=1&id=197
