Game and Fish wants to remind North Dakota deer hunters the deadline for submitting applications for the 2017 gun season is June 7.
The deadline applies to muzzleloader, regular gun, gratis and nonresident landowner, and youth antlered mule deer applications.
Nonresidents may apply for a North Dakota deer license only through Game and Fish.
Hunters are encouraged to apply online by clicking here. Applications cannot be processed with a valid state drivers license.
Also, a new law passed by the state legislature allows youth who turn age 11 before the end of the calendar year to receive a whitetail doe license valid for only the youth deer hunting season. In other words, 10-year-olds who turn 11 in 2017 are eligible to receive an antlerless whitetail license. Hunter education is not required until the youth turns 12.
The application for regular statewide youth deer licenses is September 1st.
