Democrats sue over 2016 election blues. Cite Trump campaign, Wikileaks and Russians, too

The Democratic National Committee has filed a 66-page lawsuit against the Trump campaign, WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange, numerous associates of President Trump, the Russian Federation and the general staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The charges: Alleged racketeering, hacking and conspiracy that hurt Democrats when WikiLeaks published internal Democratic Party emails that had been stolen during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The suit was filed Friday in Manhattan federal court.

Shortly before the July 2016 Democratic National Convention, WikiLeaks publishes thousands of DNC emails collected through hacks into the DNC servers.
