Today in Dickinson parents and their children had an opportunity to have fun in the sun for free.
The American Bank Center hosted its 2nd Annual Splash Bash, at the outdoor pool at the West River Community Center.
The facility usually charges $6 to $8 for admission, but today the American Bank Center took care of the bill.
“That’s why we like doing it. . . opening up the pool so families can come and enjoy it with us. It’s really a fun day to come and take advantage of the weather,” said Brady Boese, American Bank Center.
They also served up some free food, music, beach balls, and gave families a reason to get out of the house on a nice, warm day in Dickinson
“Cause it is the only outdoor pool we have in town, so it is very popular. It brings a lot of families and friends together,” said Nicole Wald, Dickinson resident.
The West River Community Center said they will be hosting another free event later this month, Swim Under the Stars.
