Dickinson’s Greenwood adjusting to new summer role

Stephen Greenwood is entering his first full season as head coach of the Dickinson Roughriders.

He took the helm in the middle of last season, but with this being his first full season at the helm, Greenwood said there some adjustments to be made.

“There’s definitely a mentality change, knowing in the offseason you’re the head coach,” Greenwood said. “Last year I came into it as an assistant mentality, and now there’s a lot more preparation and organization.”

Greenwood also said he has gotten plenty of advice from Dickinson High School baseball coach Pete Dobitz, which has eased his transition.

The Roughriders next play on Tuesday.
