District 36 senate seat to be filled at the end of the month

There is a seat up for nomination in District 36 and at the end of the month, and Republicans will decide who fills it.

Senator Kelly Armstrong resigned his seat after he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives last week.

District 36 chairman John Enderle said so far four people have shown interest in the seat.

There will be a convention at the end of the month in Dickinson, ND to nominate and vote on who district members want to see represent the district.

Enderle said whoever gets elected will have some big shoes to fill.

“He understood the needs of the district. He understood the needs of all of Western North Dakota, so its really exciting to have him in the U.S Congress”.

The event will be held at the Biesiot Activities Center in Dickinson on November 30.
